- Cluster Parishes Working Together -
Following the Archbishop’s visit, we are asked to have cluster parish meetings for reflections, discernment, sharing and discussion. For our parishes and cluster the following events already took place and the further dates are proposed:
Palm Sunday 2015, Archbishop Leo Cushley unveiled his vision for the future of the Archdiocese of St Andrews & Edinburgh in a pastoral letter entitled We Have Found the Messiah. (Materials are still available at the back of the church and on archdiocesan /parish website).
November 2015 – Denary meeting with clergy and archbishop at Our Lady & St. Bridget Church, West Calder.
31 January 2016 – Cluster meeting for all parishes with archbishop at Fauldhouse Parish’s Hall.
February 2016 - Meeting for clergy from our cluster

15 June 2016 7.30pm – Open meeting for all parishioners of Our & Lady and St. Bridget and st.Thoma’s at West Calder Church. Election of 6 delegates from our parishes to the final cluster meeting in November.

12 November 2016 - Final Cluster meeting at Fauldhouse Parish’s Hall for all delegates and producing final report for Archbishop.

13 July 2018 -Merging parishes Decree - Our archbishop His Grace Leo Cushley after further reflection upon the reorganisation process, responses from people and clergy and proposals have decided to issue decree on 13th July 2018 that parish of St. Thomas’ Addiewell will be merged with Parish of Our Lady & St. Bridget on 18th November 2018 which is 33 Sunday Ordinary Time. The merged parish will be retaining the name of Our Lady & St. Bridget and all the faithful domiciled in the former territory of the Parish of St. Thomas Addiewell will become parishioners of Our Lady & St. Bridget.
